‘Gluten Free Throughout the Year’ a Good Holiday or New Year’s Gift

The more you go against the grain during the holiday season, the healthier you’ll tend to be. If you know that in theory but need a little practical help enacting that in your life, let me remind you of my new book published earlier this year, Gluten Free Throughout the Year. With its month-to-month format, this companion guide to Going Against the Grain can help you through all times of year, and offers gluten-free recipes such as Pink Rice with Roasted Asparagus and Mushrooms and grain-free recipes including Chestnut Stuffing, Savory Stuffing, Butternut Squash with Fresh Sage, Pecan-Pear Autumn Sundaes, and No-Bake Dried Fruit-Cocoa Balls, all of which are very appropriate for the holidays.

Gluten Free Throughout the Year is not only a good gift to give yourself; it also is a good holiday or New Year’s gift for others.  I felt honored a month ago or so when About.com Gluten-Free Cooking columnist Teri Gruss said the Savory Stuffing from my new book would be on her Thanksgiving table this year and even more honored when Gluten Free Throughout the Year made it to her “Favorite Gift Ideas for Gluten-Free Cooks” list.

My book is listed as a good read and Teri wrote:

With so many gluten-free junk food products available today, Melissa’s tips for planning and eating naturally gluten-free nutritious foods are more relevant than ever.

Keep the book in mind as you finish up your holiday shopping and start the new year.

Wishing you Happy, Healthy Holidays and a very Happy, Healthy New Year!
